Weekly Blog 4-15

Should you have practiced your script more?
I feel as if we definitely should have practiced the script more. It felt as if we were off beat.
Did you feel prepared to film?
I thought we were until we started filming. Then I realized that we were not prepared at all.
Overall how do you feel about the finished demo film?
I think we did a good job considering that we weren't very prepared. Overall I liked the filming process.

Weekly Blog 3-11

This week we had a demonstration on how to use buttons to stop and start sounds. Did you find this demonstration useful. Explain why you might want viewers to be able to turn on or turn off music in your game.
Yes I found the demonstration useful. Music sounds good in games but you might not want it playing at all times.
Think about a demonstration you would like to have shown in the class room. Tell me whether or not you would be willing to find the information for and demonstrate how to complete the category of your choice.
I would like to show the class how to write code. I could find information and demonstrate.

Weekly Blog for 3-5-11

We completed the Artifiical Intelligence section of the curriculum. How did you like this section? Did you have any problems, if so explain what section you had the problem in? Do you think that this session had useful tutorials and demonstrations that you might use in your game?

I liked this section even though I found it confusing. I had problems with code. I had the exact same code as somebody else but mine still wouldn't work. Yes it had useful tutorials, but at the same time the tutorials are hard to do becasue when you pause a video you can't copy code. Instead it brings up a link to the video.

Weekly Blog 2-25

Write a Blog post about the Jumping and Platform topic, share your learning experience! Were the instructions clear? Were their any instructions you felt were missing. Were you able to finish the tutorial? Will you use this tutorial in your game? If you will use Jumping and Platforms, please describe how you will use it.

The Jumping and Platform topic was ery interesting. I've been wondering how to jump and this explained it very well. The instructions were very clear and I got my tutorial to work. I don't think there was anything missing but i don't know because I don't know a lot about flash. This tutorial will help us in our game and I'm not sure how to apply it to the game. We might have Joe jump on pipes or something.

Weekly Blog 2-18

Tell me how you would use this in your team game. How could you make the timer go faster? How would you rate this tutorial using a number from 1 to 10; 10 being the best and 1 being the lowest rating. Tell me why you gave it the rate you used.
We could use the timer when Joe is trying to put his pipes together and if you didn't get it in a certain amount of time you have to retry. You can make the timer go faster by changing the code. I give it a 9. Well its hard for something to be perfect but this was still pretty good so I gave it a 9.

Weekly Blog 2/11/11

The first trick was when you started out with your regular cursor and when you went over the button it turned into the custom cursor and it stayed the custom cursor, even off the button. The second trick was when you started out with a regular mouse and when you touched button it went to a custom cursor but then when you moved off the button it went back to the regular cursor.
