How do you plan to use sound in your game? How will it help enhance the game play and learning experience of your game?
I will use sound in my game on all my buttons and basically every action that you make. Sometimes when you hear something you better understand it and this will be the case in our game. Our game is going to be very basic and with some awesome sounds it will be very attractive.

Can your game be both a Civics and Stem Game?
No our game could not be considered both. Even though our game is educational, it does not teach about the study of rights and duties of citizens.
5 Game Ideas are:
1. This game would have you as a president of the United States and you are fighting crime and as you fight you answer trivia questions about that president.
2. You are an immigrant trying to get into the United States and to get in you have to answer questions about The United States and its history.
3. You are the Bill of Rights and you go around and talk to people about their rights as U.S. citizens.
4. You are a police officer that goes around fighting crime and informs people of their wrong doings and then punishes them.
5. You are a judge and you have to determine if the victim is innocent or guilty and give him or her their sentence. To do this you have to have a general understanding of laws and rights.

Weekly Blog 12-3
Reflect on the class so far. Do you like working in flash? Why or why not?
I love working in flash but I'm afraid I'll make a mistake and ruin my game. Making games and demo's is really fun and we keep learning new stuff all the time. Now that we have learned motion tween and animations I am starting to understand how games are made.

Weekly Blog Post 11/8 to 11-12
How are you using visual storytelling through your sequence of scenes to help players learn about your topic?
Our game uses visual by bringing up little messages that describe Joe's parts and what they do. Also at random times throughout the game screens pop up and describe Joe's scenario.
What are examples of games you played in the Playing to Learn topic that use storytelling to teach a concept well?
The game "What Would You Do" is a good example because it teaches you about your choices and the consequences of your decisions.
How have other narrative games influenced your game?
I did not completely understand what a narrative game was so it did not influence our game at all.

Weekly Blog Post 11/5
* Why would you use folders to organize your scenes?
If you didn't use folders then you would have a huge long list of scenes and if you put them in folders they are more organized and more easily found.
* What function do keyframes have?
A key frame in animation and film making is a drawing that defines the starting and ending points of any smooth transition. They are called "frames" because their position in time is measured in frames on a strip of film. A sequence of keyframes defines which movement the spectator will see, whereas the position of the keyframes on the film, video or animation defines the timing of the movement. Because only two or three keyframes over the span of a second do not create the illusion of movement, the remaining frames are filled with inbetweens.

Weekly Blog Post for 10/29
List a new idea or concept (not just a "fact") you've learned about your game topic since you started this course. How did you come to learn this? What sources where helpful to you in gaining this understanding? What makes these news or research sources especially informative and trustworthy?
I have learned that simple tools like wrenches and glue are considered technology. I came to learn this when we were making Joe The Plumber. As we were doing research I read an interesting article telling what technology was and it explained that simple technological tools make up the big, complex technological machines. As i said earlier I read an article that explained what technology was. It was trustworthy because it was from a reliable source. It was informative because it informative because it was set up in a table format and was easily readable.

Internet Security
Q-Should you respond or talk to people you do not know, on line, outside the Globaloria Community?
No you should not.
A-Talking to people outside of our Globaloria Community could be dangerous if you give them your personal information.
Q-Can you be sure the person you are talking to has actually represented themselves accurately? Why do we ask you to hide your personal information?
A-No, most people on the internet lie about their personal status so you can never be sure that someone has accurately represented them self.
Q-Why must you never give your Social Security Number or bank account number to anyone online?
A-If someone got ahold of your SSN they could do identity theft and steal all your money and buy anything they wanted if they have your bank account. Your SSN is like gold to you.

Weekly Blog 10-01-10
I want to design a game about technology and computers. I love technology and I want to learn more about computers. My game fits into the strategy category. My game is going to have definitions of parts of a computer and you have to match the words with the definition. My game's educational value is that it will teach kids how computers work and what they are made of.

Technology Game I Found
http://www.maxgames.com/game/truck-mania.html
The game that I found is called Truck Mania. It is a game where you can accelerate, reverse, or brake. You are timed on your speed through the course and then you also get bonus points for the amount of cargo you keep throughout the journey. At the beginning of ever level your truck is full of cargo, the faster you go the better chance you have of losing cargo. The game requires a lot of strategy.
